March 2nd, 2006 (09:38 pm)

I have actually started work on this now. Not that I expect many people to be interested but I like to finish works that I start.

Hey, I'm interested. It's a good topic.

Thank you. I can promise wine, women, and of course song, as themes, but not necessarily in that order or enjoying extraordinary priority.

And me.

My musical tastes have become more eclectic since gettig married - but even before that, I did have CDs from the 16th to the 20th centuries (and every one in between, IIRC).

Hm, maybe we should all do little musical autobiographies...

Ten years ago (when I got married), I was listening to Queen, Dire Straits, Jethro Tull, a bit of Lindisfarne, some Al Stewart, easy listening / MOR / low key rock from the 60s to the 80s. I also had a few CDs of Mendelsohn (sp?), Elizabethan music, Debussy, Saint Saens &c.

Now - a lot more Al Stewart (big fan - saw him at the Barbican a few months ago), and more of my wife's Mozart & Brahms, plus a range of other orchestral composes - Beethoven, Suppe &c.
