Food question

August 8th, 2006 (11:54 pm)

Is it wrong to measure the success of a dinner party by how much your guests brought? I overspent hideously, and have lots of stirfry ingredients left over; but I also now have a bottle of red wine, a bottle of home made white wine, some mixed herbs and some bay leaves, grown by one of my guests, some chocolate, some organic nachos, and a lemon.

It sounds like another dinner party might be in the offing :-)

...I've considered that as an option...

I'd say that was a result, after all you can now eat for a few days on the spares.

I often cook far too much for dinner parties, and the remains provide another few days' meals. Nothing wrong with that!

That's all right then!
