Well, guess who hasn't gone into work this morning.

Everyone needs a Mental Health Day occasionally. It's even vaguely sunny (well, it's not currently raining...)

The thing is, that I've just had several mental health days courtesy of the_marquis and na_lon. Still, one more can't hurt.

Same here.
It's raining here though

It's thinking about raining here. The clouds are dark but the sky is bright behind them, so I'd only expect a shower unless the configuration changes.

I'm not sure how sound that description is as a weather prediction, but as it is the clouds are clearing anyway.

Wuss! Wuss! You'd get the sack in a real job!

... Then again, you might have a pay packet and a future in a real job...

I have a real job; it's just that it's a part-time one and I've always been able to turn up when I liked even when it was full time.

They call days like this "duvet days" in the U.S. and I think its a great idea. Everyone should have a couple of days in their holiday pool that can be used to cover "I cannot bring myself to drag myself into work" type days that almost every mortal has at least once or twice a year.

I am definitely having a duvet day - I felt that it was a weekend sort of day when I woke up, and not a work one. The days when I bounced to work confident that we were a happy team doing good things have long since gone. Thankfully I have the flexibility to get away with this sort of thing.
