Difficult though it was to answer those questions...

I'm the Old Bod!

Old-fashioned even for Oxford, you're all about obscure ancient books and highly dubious thesis topics. Academic in the fusty and eccentric, rather than hard working, sense, Oxford is clearly the best place for you. Favourite word: "aporia". Least favourite: "relevant".

Huh, that's bizarre:

I'm the Radcliffe Science Library!

There's not a whole lot to say. You're scientific, and perhaps just a little dull. Half of the University doesn't know you exist, and the other half rarely visit. On the other hand, there's far more chance of you being involved in curing cancer than your artistic counterparts, so it all balances in the end.

It all tells me that the arts/science divide is still very much alive in the student mediasphere, if nothing else.

Hurrah, I'm the Old Bod too!

Why is it significant that my tute partner is from Merton? Am I so out of touch?

Probably something to do with the recent Norrington Table results, I expect, but I pay little attention to them now...

Some of those questions were very strange. I ended up with The Old Bod too, which somehow doesn't seem very appropriate for me. I wonder what all the other options were apart from that and the RSL?

Union, college and faculty.
I found the answers very limiting and so just played silly buggers - getting college in the end :)

Wot, no Classics Lending Library?

I dimly remember peering round into the old Classics Lending Library in the Ashmolean and thinking it an archetype of what Oxford libraries were meant to be - overcrowded with books, cluttered, and antiquated, but at the same time lively and exuding a sense of its own worth. I pass through the new one occasionally when visiting the Sackler Library, usually for the art and architecture books on the upper floors; like the rest of the Sackler, it's much easier to use than the library it replaced and, after a few years of being open, now feels lived-in, as Oxford libraries should.

The questions reveal that the student media set still have their confined and deterministic views about how people live their lives, methinks.
