Do not drive under rail station bridge

September 7th, 2010 (10:51 am)

Park and Ride services in Oxford are always disrupted during St Giles Fair. The altered route down Parks Road for northerly buses suits me, as the temporary stop is close to my meeting. The bus I'm on isn't one of the old dedicated fleet bought ten years ago, many of which have been diverted to other duties, but a different model with a narrower, steeper stair, transferred from Oxford Bus's sister company Go North East and intended to drop lots of passengers off at once at a town centre terminl, rather than at a series of them. They are also too tall to serve east-west routes in Oxford, hence the title of this post.
