If anyone sees disturbances within undergrowth, and hears rustling from fallen leaves, then you have probably caught up with my regular sleep patterns. They have wandered away, and I do not know where to find them. Sending them in my direction would be appreciated.

(I confess to having neglected them in the past, but will endeavour not to do so again.)

If I catch them, I will put them in a box with some clary sage oil and send it down to you. Clary sage oil is said to be remarkably good for the sleep. I haven't tried it myself because I was on regular medication at the time, and one is advised not to use it in those circumstances, so I bought some lavender oil instead, which is milder.

That was quite helpful.

Thank you!

To be honest, I can't promise I won't carry on neglecting them - such is my life. Unfortunately I am not one of these people who can get away with three-four hours sleep, in a Thatcheresque manner.

If it's any consolation, you are in good company. I used to wake up to find an e-mail from Charles in my inbox time-stamped between three and four in the morning, and, since I knew perfectly well he would then have had to get up at a civilised time (if only to help get the children off to school), I used to tell him off for neglecting his sleep. I'm sure he still neglects it, though perhaps at least not as badly as he did in the past, because he is presenting a very good appearance of getting younger as he goes on.

Basically, Charles squees too much and it interferes with his sleep. I can entirely sympathise. I, too, squee too much, as Mole will certainly tell you. I'm just slightly vainer about my appearance than he is - I don't like walking around with bags under my eyes! :-)

I think a lot of us are good at finding things to squee about, even if we don't necessarily realise it!

Good luck in hunting them down and catching them again.

I'm like a child who doesn't want to go to sleep because they are afraid they will miss something, but in my case I wake up late too.
