Demon customers, such as myself, have been mostly without internet for 24 hours or more, I gather. I still hadn't been reconnected when I left the flat just after 11am. I'm currently at Little Chef on the A34 northbound at Family Farm services, just north of the junction with the B4027 Glympton-Wheatley road (the pre-railway main London-Worcester route, bypassing Oxford); this internet connection comes to you courtesy of that establishment.

Doctor Who - The Time of Angels - good, better than I expected in fact. More when I am back online properly.

Thanks for the advice - I never experienced any outages this bad when I was with Freeserve/Wanadoo/Orange, though my sister has had periods of several hours without internet in London. At least they provided more informative updates on the situation from their helpdesk than Demon have this weekend.

While investigating the library of my nerdy boyfriend, I was amused to note that the prologue to the novelisation of DW and the Crusaders says that Susan stayed behind on Earth to marry David Cameron. Did you know this? Ponder says it's a typo or memory failure, but surely that is too mundane an explanation.

As zelanite has no doubt told you, on television Susan's boyfriend's name was David Campbell, but it had gone through several changes in development, having been David Soskin for a while when the future Britain was going to be more obviously multiethnic (the character of Jenny having been Saida at one point).

Perhaps, though, Samantha Cameron is Susan in a new incarnation? Her tattoo could be a Time Lord criminal brand as some fans (including the authors of The Discontinuity Guide) have speculated her grandfather's is (see the shower scene in Spearhead from Space).

I haven't done a review yet, but I'm developing a theory that Amy is Jenny's daughter - realize that "Watch and learn"by itself was too obvious/good to be true - but there are other hints. I didn't know that Jenny had appeared anywhere else in the 'verse - please explain?

I'm thinking of Jenny from The Dalek Invasion of Earth rather than the one from The Doctor's Daughter; but your theory regarding the latter one is interesting.

We lost (Demon) internet access at 8.30 yesterday morning... but got it back at about 4.30 in the afternoon. Strange that it affects different people in different ways. Though we've been with Demon now for 14 years, and have very seldom had problems.

Interesting... Demon have less and less focus on home customers, so as a home user and a fairly recent recruit I was, perhaps, at the back of the queue; though I have no idea how these things work.

Internet is back now, having been restored when I was at Little Chef.

I've been without connection for more than a few mniutes since Friday - but that's not as unusual on Ynys Mon as elsewhere
