current mood: awake

Thanks to a stomach bug, I was awake for several hours during the night, fell asleep at 5, and didn't get up until 11. I missed what must have been a blanket covering of snow here in Woodstock at daybreak. The snow on the road has melted but there's about an inch or one and a half inches (a decent covering for these days) everywhere else.

Now to fit in everything I planned to do today with less time in which to do it.

There does seem to be a stomach bug in Oxford, doesn't there!

We also had snow in Harrow, but by the time I got up it was patchy with something halfway between sleet and rain coming down. It became more snowflaky on my way to the station. Not a sign of the white stuff in central London though. (Not that white stuff anyeay, wouldn't swear to the other.)

Snow news round-up

The snow is fading fast here, but Central News reported large snowdrifts and blocked roads in Gloucestershire, and South Today will be leading on the Oxfordshire snowfall at 1.25.

I have to go out in the snow soon - I've got shopping to do and maybe some photocopying if the rates are good...

It hasn't snowed here since January (or maybe early February), but January's snow hasn't finished melting yet. There was an aweful lot of snow in January.

Whoever put gravel down making paths across the skating rink that was the square in the middle of the campus, drew a pentagram in doing so, pointing at the administration building. The ice there has melted now, so the pentagram has dissappeared.

A pentagram? So, the Old Ways still prosper in the lands of the Northmen...
